SCHWARZSCHMIED X ARROW YOGA
November 29 - December 13, 2026
There is a particular kind of quiet that only winter can offer. The light softens, the pace slows, and something in us remembers how to rest.
This December, Arrow Yoga travels to the Dolomites for a two-week residency at Hotel Schwarzschmied — a family-owned wellness sanctuary nestled among the vineyards of Lana, South Tyrol, Italy. It is a place where thoughtful design, slow food, and mountain air conspire to make you feel like yourself again.
Come for a few days or the full two weeks. Stay as long as you need.

HOW IT WORKS
We're not organizing this trip — we're simply going to be there. Arrow Yoga will be in residence at Schwarzschmied teaching daily classes throughout the two weeks. How you spend the rest of your time, where you eat, what you explore, how long you stay — that's entirely up to you.
Book your room directly with the hotel, show up, and come to class when it calls you.
DESTINATION SNAPSHOT
Lana, South Tyrol — Northern Italy
Tucked into the foothills of the Dolomites, Lana is a hidden gem of South Tyrol — a region that sits close to the Austrian border and offers a rare blend of Alpine and Mediterranean character. The locals speak German, Italian, and sometimes Ladin. The food is farm-to-table and serious. The mountains are everywhere you look. Lana sits between Bolzano and Merano in the Val d'Adige valley, surrounded by some of South Tyrol's oldest vineyards and apple orchards, with Monte San Vigilio towering above.
Getting there
Most guests fly into Innsbruck or Verona and either rent a car or take a direct bus.
Approx. flight costs $900-$1400 usd
Weather — December
Winter in Lana combines Mediterranean flair with Alpine atmosphere — think snowshoe hikes through snow-covered forests, a small ski area on the Vigiljoch reachable by cable car, and after dark, rustic huts and gourmet restaurants beckoning. The region's famous Christmas markets are in full swing, and early December brings the wild Krampuslauf parades through village streets — chaotic, primal, and genuinely fun.
Expect cold, clear days. December temperatures range from around 30°F at the high to 14°F at night, with about a 20% chance of snow or rain on any given day — and nearly half the day is clear and sunny. Pack layers, a good coat, and boots you can actually walk in.
